The client's vision was clear: a versatile outdoor room that caters to relaxation and is ready to host lively gatherings. With an aging wooden deck reaching the end of its lifespan, we embarked on a journey of renewal. The solution? A combination of Timbertech composite decking and porcelain tile, creating a low-maintenance, visually stunning foundation that stands the test of time.

We curated distinct zones within the new deck—a cozy outdoor living room, a spacious dining area, and a functional serving table/bar adorned with a pizza oven and BBQ grill. The challenge of neighborly privacy was elegantly addressed with a stained vertical cedar wall, screening out unwanted views while adding a touch of natural warmth.

The crown jewel of this outdoor oasis is the aluminum Struxure louvered pergola system, a dynamic overhead covering that transforms with a click of a remote. From sheltering the space during rain showers to revealing the evening sky for stargazing, it's a testament to both innovation and practicality.

Designed with versatility in mind, the deck steps open to the backyard, featuring a custom bench for easy winter skate preparation when the hockey rink takes center stage each January. This bench serves double duty by cleverly storing wood for the pizza oven.

To elevate the ambiance, we integrated a high-end, automated FX lighting system that adjusts seamlessly to sunset and sunrise. It's the finishing touch on a landscape that marries form and function, where every element is thoughtfully crafted to enhance the outdoor living experience.
