The sole requirement was simple: incorporate a half-ton Buddha into the design. With this as our focus, we created a garden entrance that was both inviting and functional. Thermal bluestone pavers lead the way to the statue, bluestone pebbles define the destination, and upright hornbeams play off the significance of its size. Turf, lined with aluminum edging, softens the hardscape. A mix of hakone grass, hosta, and boxwood completes a green palette, creating a sound space where east meets west.
